Week 12: Baby is 2 inches long and weighs half an ounce:) Baby's intestines are supposedly still on the outside but they'll start moving into the abdomen at this point. Baby also now has reflexes and can open and close its hands and wiggle around, although I can't feel it, yet!
SO today I actually heard the baby's heartbeat! I CAN'T believe this! For the past few weeks I have been taking pregnancy tests every Wednesday, just to make sure that I am not just dreaming up this whole thing, but today I found out that this is for real!
R heard it first. The doctor put the doppler on my belly and was moving it around for a few seconds. I could only hear my heartbeat and some background fuzziness, but then the doctor said, "There, do you hear that?" I couldn't, but R smiled and said, "yeah:)" I shook my head and so the doctor pushed down on my stomach a little bit harder and there it was! Loud and clear and super fast- 164 beats per minute! How crazy is this! This might actually be happening! Lol! I have never been so excited before, ever! :) AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Now I can't wait to see you and finally meet you!!
